China — Day 13: June 2019

Well, it’s taken us only about 6 months to recap the China trip!

Day 13 was our last full day in China. We started out with a trip to the Shanghai World Financial Center, one of the tallest buildings in the world. It was an amazing view, though Dad and Brynn were a bit unnerved by the height (it was still pretty cool to see).

Then we went to the Yuyuan Bazaar, a shopping area designed to resemble old Shangai, for some lunch and pearl/jewelry shopping.

We then braved the heat for a walk in People’s Park, which was right near where we had stayed during our first trip to Shanghai. We found the mini-amusement park that Jeff remembered (it was closed when we were here in December) and the kids enjoyed a few attractions, and then we walked over to Nanjing Road, which is a pedestrian mall with tons and tons of shops. We then went back to the hotel for some rest, ventured out for dinner and came back to get ready for the long trip home.
