Christmas in Colorado: December 2018
We had another great December trip to Colorado! This year was a bit different; we celebrated Christmas (the presents part) at Mimi and Papa’s on Sunday, December 23, because that day we also left to go to Glenwood Springs (well, technically a bit west of Glenwood Springs) to rent a house to be closer to skiing and the hot springs. Esme and Brynn and Dad went skiing on Christmas Eve, and then we all spent part of Christmas Day in the hot springs themselves. The next day we had Christmas dinner at Mimi and Papa’s with Uncle Patrick before we had to go home on the 26th.
We got lucky with a big snowstorm on Christmas Eve — which was great for skiing — and then another one overnight into the 26th — which was great for building snowmen and playing in the snow. Other highlights included games, puzzles, makeup, movies, naps (for Mom and Dad at least!), playing with the dogs, and enjoying fun family time. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back!
