Kilpatricks Visit: March 2015
We had a special treat this month — Uncle Dave needed to come to St. Louis for work so the Kilpatricks decided (smartly) that they should all come along and visit. So, from Thursday to Monday we had 9 people (including 5 kids 6 and under) in the house. It happened to coincide with Esme and Brynn’s spring break which meant that there was a lot of time to enjoy playing together and visiting a lot of fun places.
Thursday included a trip to the Botanical Gardens. Jeff and Dave had to work, and Leslie was “paying back” our friend Abbie for babysitting Han by watching her kids, so that mean Leslie and Aunt Stephanie made the trek with 7 (yes 7) kids. They got some, um, “interesting” looks along the way but all the kids cooperated played together well.
Friday was mainly playing around the house — including a lot of time on the trampoline next door — and then a trip for frozen custard.
Saturday morning we went to the zoo — the weather was AMAZING — and then later went to Tower Grove Park to play at the playground and run around. We capped off the beautiful day with dinner outside and more frozen custard (at the legendary Ted Drewes).
Sunday started off with playing with the musical instruments in the basement, then going to the Magic House (which was a big hit with everyone), and then capping the day off the day with watching some old movies from when Steph and Jeff were kids and playing Wii.
Monday it was back to school for Esme and Brynn and back to work for Jeff, and then back to DC for the Kilpatricks. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait to do it again soon!
