Brynn at four months
Brynn had her 4 month checkup at the doctor on Friday. She was a full pound ahead of Esme’s rapid growth at her 2 month checkup — let’s see where she stands now:
- Birth; Tuesday, February 22: 7lbs, 15oz. 20″
- Hospital discharge; Saturday, February 26: 7lbs, 10oz. (it’s normal for babies to lose some weight in their first few days)
- One week checkup; Friday, March 4: 8lbs, 8oz. and 21″ on what was scheduled to be her official due date
- One month checkup; Thursday, March 24: 11lbs, 8oz. and 21.5″
- Two month checkup; Tuesday, April 26: 14lbs, 2 oz; 23.5″
- Four month checkup: 17lbs, 11oz.; 25″
Three and a half pounds in two months — quite a strong showing! That puts her over the 95th percentile for weight and at the 75th percentile for height. Comparing them to where Esme was after four months, you’ll notice that Brynn is still two pounds ahead though fairly close on height. The extra weight explains why we seem to be getting more and more tired carrying her around all the time.
She had a few more of her standard immunizations, pulled through like a champ, and overall The Doc says she’s doing great!
