Brynn at one month
Brynn had her 1 month checkup at the doctor today. She was a bit behind Esme’s rapid growth at her 1 week checkup — let’s see where she stands now:
- Birth; Tuesday, February 22: 7lbs, 15oz. 20″
- Hospital discharge; Saturday, February 26: 7lbs, 10oz. (it’s normal for babies to lose some weight in their first few days)
- One week checkup; Friday, March 4: 8lbs, 8oz. and 21″ on what was scheduled to be her official due date
- One month checkup; Thursday, March 24: 11lbs, 8oz. and 21.5″
Three pounds in three weeks! She’s gaining weight almost as quickly as her daddy is, enjoying all the great food provided by friends and visitors.
Now, comparing them to where Esme was after one month, you’ll see that Brynn is a full half pound heavier than our “big baby” Esme. There is no doubt that mom is providing a solid diet, and that our kids are good eaters. Otherwise, everything is good from the checkup, and we’ve got another one scheduled at month 2.
