MiMi visits
Leslie’s mom Jeannie (a.k.a. MiMi) came to visit last week over her school’s spring break and had the lucky duty of tending to a cold- and incoming-molar-stricken Esme. She was a trooper (well, they both were), and both seemed to have a pretty good time. While the week wasn’t full of extravagant adventures — we didn’t want to spread Esme’s cold any more than we needed to — they had a great time playing around the house, as these pictures show. Even though MiMi saw Esme just under two months ago, she’s almost a totally different kid — or, as Esme has been calling herself lately, a “beh gr” (translation: big girl).

As per usual, the pictures are a fine portrayal of what Esme does in her spare time. Of particular note was her painting ability! Her selection of color is very mature. My only suggestion is – don’t throw out any of her paintings. What you do with them is to cut them up in various sizes, frame them and sell them as art produced by a one plus year old! Her works have more artistic meaning then some of the impressionist paintings you see in the museums. The rest of the pictures show Esme at play and looking at the wall of toys in the pictures – she can keep busy for a month without any duplication. BOY – I wish I was Esme – not a care in the world and just enjoy.
