Parker’s 2nd Birthday Party
The birthday season is now upon us. After successfully navigating the one-year birthday party circuit, we’re on to round two. Last year, Esme’s friend Parker (whose best appearance on this blog is in this picture from Halloween 2008) had his party at Gymboree; this year, Jason and Kelli went with a Thomas the Train theme and had the party at their house. It was actually supposed to be last weekend, though a last-minute illness caused it to be postponed. (Everyone’s okay, just didn’t want to be contagious.)
Esme had a great time and was fully hyped up on sugar from a cookie and part of a cupcake by the time we left, though that still didn’t prevent her from falling asleep in the car on the way home — probably due to all the energy expended by running around and playing with friends for about two hours.
