Thanksgiving
For the 2nd year in a row, we celebrated Thanksgiving in St. Louis. In addition to a return visit from Jeff’s parents and sister and her family, Jeff’s grandmother and aunt and her family made the trip as well. Our house was packed to the gills, with 10 “grown-ups” and 2 little ones (Esme and her 10-month-old cousin Ian), though with all the space we have it wasn’t too crowded.
It was a fantastic 4-5 days of family, food, and fun. With a photo-obsessed clan like ours, it’s no surprise that there are over 600 photos / videos in total, and we tried hard to narrow it down to the “best” 200 or so. Yes, we could have spent more time narrowing it down, though with clean-up and preparation for returning to the “real world” tomorrow, we figured we’d put a whole bunch up and let everyone enjoy.
It’s always good seeing and spending time with family, and it was especially nice to have Steph and Dave and Ian here since they were the only ones who hadn’t seen the whole house yet (and it was Ian’s first trip to St. Louis… in fact, it probably was the farthest west he’s ever been!). Ian took full advantage of the open floor plan, pushing Esme’s shopping cart and Cozy Coupe all around the house. He had taken a few unassisted steps before, though he set new personal records for number of steps while he was here, and we’re rather honored that he picked this location for this new milestone.
There’s lots of good stories and videos (mostly involving Esme and Ian) to share, though we’ll leave it at the 200+ photos for now.
