Happy Halloween
Esme certainly has changed a bit since Halloween last year. While she’s still not yet old enough to really “get” what’s going on, she seemed to at least appreciate some parts of this year’s festivities. We went to about a half-dozen houses on our street, mainly people we knew — the point wasn’t so much as to get candy as it was to let the neighbors see Esme all dressed up. Our new next-door neighbors joined us and let Esme catch a ride in their wagon with their 2-year-old Meredith, who seemed a bit skeptical at first to share her wheels with Esme. This was our first Halloween in our “new” house, and though we didn’t take full advantage of it this year, it seems to be a great trick-or-treating neighborhood, and we’re looking forward to many more here.
