Boo at the Zoo
Saturday was the big start to Esme’s jam-packed, Halloween-themed week. The St. Louis Zoo has a big “Boo at the Zoo” non-scary Halloween party every year. We decided not to go last year since Esme was not quite 3 months old, but this year we thought she might have a great time so we dressed her up and carted her off to meet the Veety family and trick-or-treat at the zoo. The weather was perfect so the zoo was packed, but Esme seemed to have a great time.
Much to our surprise, Esme seemed to enjoy wearing her costume and even kept the hood on the whole day. There were many other ladybugs roaming around the zoo, but Esme was, by far, the cutest of them all. Reis was also adorable in his hot dog costume, which seemed to be a crowd favorite judging by all the comments as we walked around. Halloween has definitely become a much more entertaining experience with children in tow. Stay tuned for updates about the rest of Halloween week.
