Best of Missouri Market
Has it really been a year since the Best of Missouri Market? While Jeff’s humor hasn’t changed much (he was still using the same comments / jokes today), Esme certainly has. Instead of napping in the Bjorn, on this year’s trip she was all over the various foodstuffs and spent a good part of the afternoon walking around in the less-crowded areas. Plus, we discovered the kids area, which apparently is part of the festival every year though we’ve never had a reason to attend. Esme had a great time doing some crafts — decorating a pumpkin, bag, and cookie — and checking out the farm animals and lots of other kids.
This annual tradition is a St. Louis sign of the times, signaling the end of the summer season and the beginning of the fall. Though we’re not looking forward to shorter days and colder weather, this transition season is truly wonderful and we’re enjoying it as much as we can.
