Memorial Day weekend: Part 2
This is the weekend for parties, get-togethers, and, of course, eating. Yesterday was Rowen’s first birthday party. (Die-hard readers remember Rowen from back in August.) The weather was beautiful and the toddlers were plentiful. Rowen’s mom Leigh was very excited about the new baby pool they got for the party, and especially excited for Rowen to get in it. Unfortunately, maybe due to the pressure of the day, or the fact that the water wasn’t warm enough for him, Rowen screamed for the 30 seconds he was in the pool and just hung out on the mat afterwards. Luckily, most of the other kids — Esme included — seemed to enjoy the day.

We posted nearly all of our pictures from the day since we figured John and Leigh would want to save these for when Rowen and friends are in high school and they’re looking for great ways to embarrass him.
