House news
A quick update on our house situation — it sold! Long story short, we got a full-price offer at 4:45pm on Saturday. We were ecstatic. We took care of all the paperwork, and then set our agent off to inquire about a house we have had our eyes on for a while. After some scrambling (since the listing agent was waiting for another offer on the house), about two hours later, we had bought a new house!
(Now, of course, we haven’t “bought” or “sold” them officially yet, though the hard part is done for both.)
We’re a bit drained from the whirlwind of events, though we did manage to go over to the new house this morning and take some pictures. Two things to note:
- We haven’t even had a chance to put them in order or add captions yet, so it’s probably hard to understand what goes where.
- Yes, it snowed overnight. Crazy St. Louis weather.
The next month will be crazy as we close on both houses on Monday, April 27 — so, you’ll excuse us in advance if our posting frequency slows down a bit in the coming weeks. As soon as we can teach Esme to update the blog, we’re sure she’ll pick up the slack.
We’re very excited about the new digs and looking forward to having lots of visitors, both local and out-of-town.
