New Year and New Employment
Happy New Year everyone! We had a great time ringing in 2009 with some of our St. Louis family. Esme even got to stay up late to watch the ball drop. Normally letting her stay up until 12:30 would be a really unwise move on the part of the parents; however, it seemed to get her back onto a normal schedule after the holiday vacation sleep refusal. We played some games, ate excessive amounts of homemade pizza (thanks Andrew), and had an overall rockin’ good time. Esme found a new favorite toy at Andrew and Sara’s house (see video below) and we have some fun pictures of the evening.
The new year has also brought new employment to both the Hinyard and Lash portions of the household. Jeff has returned to Elsevier as the new Vice President, Clinical Decision Support, First Consult Product Development (the official title) where he will be developing and managing a website for physicians to get quick answers to medical questions. Leslie is slowly putting her toe into the vast sea of employment opportunities starting with teaching Introduction to Outcomes Research at the SLU School of Public Health. Her adjunct faculty appointment officially ends her stay-at-home mom status, though she will still be at home with Esme all but one day a week.

Esme, your Mom had a little horse just exactly like the one you are on. She got it from Santa her first Christmas.
