Roll over (the other way), baby
Esme has been trying to roll over for the past few weeks. She rolled over from front to back when she was 5 weeks old, and she’s been working on back-to-front since then.
On Friday afternoon, Leslie and Esme were hanging out in the nursery. Esme was on her back. Leslie walked downstairs for just a minute, and when she came back up, Esme was on her stomach. Surprise!
Luckily, Esme was kind enough to perform the trick again later that afternoon for Mom, and once more today for her. Dad hasn’t seen Esme’s new talent yet, nor have we been able to get it on video (obviously). However, if it’s like any of the other things that Esme has learned to do — smile, laugh, make a mess — she’ll be doing it on a regular basis in no time.
