Halloween recap
We’re a few days late posting these, though it’s taken us a few days to recover from Halloween.
First, we had more trick-or-treaters this year than in any of the previous 5 years we’ve lived in our house… and maybe even more than the past 5 years combined! It was nice to actually be able to have the doorbell ring more than twice.
More importantly, we had a great Halloween costume party. There were a number of creative costumes and plenty of cute kids in cute costumes (see pictures below). Jeff went as a voting booth that could predict the results of Tuesday’s presidential election; Leslie went as a Spider Gothic Princess (or something like that… can’t remember exactly what the costume was called); and Esme looked great in her Chewbakka costume (a baby gift from Jeff’s friend Bryan… it’s a long story). We’ve still got loads of candy and sugary snacks if anyone is interested….

Looks like fun was had by all! What is Chewbakka? Yesterday, after spending 14 hours at the polls we had a real uplifting experience – we came home and found your 8 x 10 photo had arrived. Really great lookers. The picture will be the anchor picture in our Esme photographic panel. We’ve been collecting various pictures which can be replaced as more current ones arrive. When Dad comes he will show us how to transmit some of these pictures to you. The title of the panel will be “Southern Esme”.
