An afternoon at the wineries
One of the great things about St. Louis is its proximity to lots of “non-city” things just outside the St. Louis area. The weather is getting colder every week now, and we figured that today was our last good chance to take advantage of the great wineries within an hour’s drive of the city.
The weather was beautiful and we headed out to Blumenhof Winery, which we had never been to before. Like most of the wineries we frequent, it had one important criteria — it lets guests bring their own food. So, for just the price of gas, and a reasonable contribution to Missouri’s agriculture economy, you can have a great weekend outing.
Hopefully the weather will be nice and there will be many more weekends like this, though if not, we at least know that we were able to get our minimum one winery trip in per year.
